Mindful Awakening Therapy
Through the practice of various stress-reducing, mindfulness techniques and creative expression tools, the Mindful Awakening Therapy teaches your child to ultimately connect with, and awaken to, their true vibrant selves. By exploring, and then uncovering, the root of their challenges, we are able to start from a place of awareness and acceptance and grow from there…ultimately enabling them to express themselves more fully and creatively in the world.
The journey begins by working with your child at wherever level they are at. First, we identify any biological, emotional, cognitive, social or pro-social stressors and then work to reduce their stressors so that they can relax, focus and learn more effectively within their environment.
We find engaging ways to connect with your child and guide them through various mindfulness practices to help strengthen their ability to self-regulate and move through times of stress, anxiety, and restlessness in a more controlled and graceful manor.
When stressors have been controlled and a regular mindfulness practice is in place, the Mindful Awakening Therapy helps children uncover their authentic creative selves. They are guided through various creative expression exercises, such as story writing, poetry, drawing, movement, drumming & vocal work, so that they can learn how to express themselves, and their emotions, in constructive and beautiful ways!
